Sources you can inspect.
We use primary Canadian sources for factual guidance, including government consumer protection, energy efficiency and indoor-environment resources. Relevant links appear in each guide with a checked date. Local rules and programs can change; verify them with the responsible authority before committing to work.
Practical questions are our contribution.
Our checklists and comparison methods help you organize a decision. They do not certify a product, diagnose a building or replace legal, engineering, trade or health advice for a particular situation.
People and projects.
We do not invent author qualifications, reviews, case studies, savings figures, prices or contractor approvals. Original generated photographs are explicitly illustrative. A pictured person is not presented as a named homeowner, expert or contractor.
Commercial relationships.
These initial guides contain no sponsored placements, paid contractor rankings or affiliate product links. If that changes, the relationship should be disclosed alongside the affected content.
Updates.
Publication dates identify when our guidance was prepared, not the date a pictured project took place. Pages should be reviewed when their underlying source or scope changes.
